Premiere: Ross Blake - House of Miracles (Video)

October '17

This is a fun one. We're very excited to bring you the exclusive video premiere of audiovisual polymath Ross Blake's carnivalesque 'House of Miracles'. The song is taken from Blake's original score to French director Angélique Bosio's Pretty en Rose, which documents the career of cult Parisian fashion icon Fifi Chachnil.

Blake's soundtrack, which stands alone as an album in its own right, harks back to masters of on-screen suspense such as Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti, while occupying its own melodically rich and atmospherically seductive space.

Though seemingly light-hearted, 'House of Miracles' is peppered with surreal moments of tension, reflected by the hallucinatory animation it's set to. Completely hand-drawn by animator Sophie Gaucher, the absurdist dream sequence features an array of creatures continuously morphing into one another. Drink it in!

Pretty en Rose OST is available to buy on 24th November via Horse Arm Records. Find it on Bandcamp here.
