Premiere: Deoke - The Kudu Fantasy Versions (Tiff's Joints)
Tiff’s Joints return with a brand new 12-inch from Deoke, aka Dave Koor, the DJ & producer making waves in South London.
Koor’s ever expanding musical output has included performances with The Expansions, backing up on keys for Andrew Ashong, knocking out synth-heavy jammers alongside Scrimshire as Modified Man, and co-running the label Albert’s Favourites (who recently put out Hector Plimmer’s debut long-player, Sunshine). Not to mention, he's recently been included in the Dimensions DJ Directory, spotlighting the best and brightest of the international underground electronic music scene.
Back to the release… Deoke’s offerings on the dance-floor ready The Kudu Fantasy Versions are not to be taken lightly, and we've been given the exclusive premiere of 'Saskwatch Version'. This one has it all: building arpeggios, heavy Afro-Cuban percussion, swirling pads and an infectious synth lead. The bembé-style breakdown halfway through cements the tune as seven minutes of pure fire. With early support from Alexander Nut, Brame & Hamo, Tenderlonious and Dennis Ayler, there's no time to sleep on this one.
To celebrate the release Tiff’s will be throwing their inaugural Tiff’s Jaunts party at the attic in Church of Sound’s regular home of St. James The Great Church. Make sure you get down for the heaviest of selections from Deoke, Rosie (ATLAS Radio), Theo (Champagne Funk) and Born Cheating, all powered by the crispy Suma Sound system. Tickets and more info here.
Deoke - The Kudu Fantasy Versions is out on Tiff's Joints on Friday 28 April.
