LT Podcast 002 with Joe Armon-Jones and Maxwell Owin

Joe Armon-Jones and Maxwell Owin are two staples of the London scene, playing and working with countless bands including Mr Jukes, Jamie Isaac, Ata Kak and Ezra Collective.  When we first heard about the pair coming together for this release, we knew to expect something special! Idiom is the result of Max's tight production and Joe's impressive keys work. Unsurprisingly, it's match made in heaven.

Joined by some of the capital's most hottest musicians, such as Nubya Garcia, Jake Long and Oscar Jerome - Idiom is a perfectly crafted statement, taking what is all too frequently referred to as the London Jazz scene to a whole new level where electronic meets acoustic in fine style, covering 2-step, broken-beat, house, jazz and dub.

The EP is out on 8th September on SE London's YAM Recordings, launched as a label last year out of its Peckham based shop. If Idiom is anything to go by, we should expect serious levels from this new imprint!

Max and Joe will be joined by the EP's collaborators at the Idiom EP launch on Wednesday 13th September at TRC. Tickets and more info here.
