Interview: Dele Sosimi
We were honoured to have Afrobeat legend Dele Sosimi join us at Total Refreshment Centre ahead of his headline appearance at Borderless Festival on 18th August at Battersea Arts Centre.
Alexis Blondin sat down with Dele to talk about all things Afrobeat, from his time playing with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band to the young musicians he nurtures and encourages today.
Having just released a reworking of his highly acclaimed record You No Fit Touch Am (Wah Wah 45s) with Prince Fatty and Nostalgia 77, this is a snapshot of one of music’s finest musicians still pushing the boundaries.
Dele Sosimi plays Borderless at Battersea Arts Centre on Thursday 18th August. Tickets and more information here.
